The steps
- 1. List it, free, on lebanesebusinesses.com. Fill in the two-minute form at lebanesebusinesses.com/add/: your name, category, town and a link where people can reach you. A person checks that the link works and the business is active, then it goes live and you get an email. There is no published turnaround time, since it is checked by hand.
- 2. Set up a Google Business Profile, only if people meet you in person or you travel to them. Google’s own rule: you qualify if your business “either has a physical location that customers can visit, or travels to customers where they are.” An online-only business with neither does not qualify, so skip this step if that is you.
- 3. Set up WhatsApp Business. It is free, and for many Lebanese customers it is the fastest way to reach you: add your hours, a catalogue and an away message.
- 4. Open an Instagram or Facebook page for the business. Switch it to a business account, and add your category, your hours and a way to contact you.
- 5. List on a few other directories too. See Lebanese business directories, compared for what each one claims, charges and how fresh it is, including ours.
What to prepare
- The business name.
- Its category (shop, restaurant, clinic, freelance service, and so on).
- The town it is in.
- A phone number or WhatsApp.
- A website, or one social media link.
- A few photos.
What it costs
Listing on lebanesebusinesses.com is free, and so is claiming or correcting your page later. An optional Featured placement is $19 a month or $190 a year (two months free), cancel any time. It puts your listing first on its sector and town pages, with a badge, a WhatsApp button, up to 4 photos and a monthly visitor report. See Featured listings for the full list.
